Originally from Maryland, I moved to Charlotte in 2002.  I graduated from the University of Maryland in 1992 with a B.A in Children and Family Studies.  I earned my Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Social Work in 1994.  I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in North Carolina and South Carolina. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers.

 

I work with children and families providing individual, couples and family therapy. I have a special interest in women’s issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, and overall adjustment to life transitions.  I also have considerable experience helping parents navigate issues related to divorce, adoption, anxiety, grief, loss and attention.

 

I have been trained in psychotherapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, solution focused therapy, mindfulness techniques, family systems and couples therapy.

 

I am compliant with the Federal Regulations regarding confidentiality and privacy generally known as HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) .  I also adhere to the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers.
